After waiting more than a year for this river guide, I can't wait to get a copy of the new book. It has been updated, and new rivers added. This is truly the "Bible" for river travel in Alaska. Whether you are going on your own, or joining a guided trip, the book is full of helpful information.

I went on a guided trip with Karen Jettmar's company, Equinox Wilderness Expeditions (http://www.equinoxexpeditions.com), to one of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge rivers--the Hulahula River. We were a small group, in self-bailing inflatables. Fantastic whitewater, thousands of caribou, and incredible scenery. One of the top trips of my life.
